Hi Discovery students -
I hope you are staying home, staying 6' from others, and staying well during this time.
I expect you'll hear from the school soon, (if you have not already) but here is what I know as of Saturday.
For the next two weeks (until 4/3) departments (not individual teachers and courses) have been asked to provide a lesson(s) for their subject area. These will be posted on the WHS webpage, and available to pick up in paper form starting Tuesday. These lessons will be for all 9-12 students, so they will not be specific to the Geologic Time unit we are in the middle of. I expect that beyond these first two weeks, there will be a system in place school-wide, allowing us to return to our specific course studies.
In terms of credit for this interim work, the directive from admin is "For now, any student work can be collected, but not added to grades".
Thats what I know at this point. I am confident that there will be a way forward - albeit bumpy at times - and we will be able to continue with the IS curriculum I had planned.
You can email me at any time - [email protected].
Ms Fenton
